What do the the acronyms NSD and TM mean?
What do the the acronyms NSD and TM mean? I heard in the reference to a command of “move by NSD TM”. What are they?
I found some other acronyms on the reference of a command “scaleToFit”.
What are they?
NSD is short for “Normal-Sized Display” and is explained in the iOS Human Interface Guidelines. You should really read those and related manuals thoroughly, they are very important for the usability of your app.
TM stands for “Text Magnification”, and is explained here (in case it is not clear, it is explained in the PDF).
The latter is for example used in the accelerometer API for UIScrollView, which allows the user to scroll the content. With a “Text Magnification” setting of 6.0, every 3-tapped and 3-dragged touch now triggers a scroll with an acceleration factor of 6.0.
Also some of the older Apple keyboard functions use the acronym TM for Text Magnification, e.g. TM_KP_COMMA.

I want to get the contents of a text file. The text file is basically a csv file.
I have found several examples on how to do this, but all of them seem to use a huge amount of code, I am looking for a simpler solution.
